Anthony Anderson to deliver a new Talk Show like no other to DCTV

WASHINGTON, DC (May 2, 2011) - The award-winning soap opera series, Anacostia may be on hiatus but the work doesn’t stop for Anthony Anderson, the award-winning actor, producer, and writer. Anderson, under his production company, Southeast Boy Productions, has just announced that he will be Executive Producing a new talk show for DCTV titled The Comfort Zone. When asked about his latest project, Anderson had this to say "I am incredibly pleased to bring this show to television, it is unlike any Talk Show on television today. The topics discussed are topics that will evoke debate and are relatable to everyone".
The Comfort Zone is slated to premiere summer 2011 on DCTV Cable Station, Comcast 95, Verizon Fios 10&11, and RCN 10 to a household viewership of over 300,000 homes. The Comfort Zone (formerly known as Guys At Brunch to their YouTube followers) will be hosted by Shawn Bradley, Nicholas Garnett and Brandon Boone. Topics slated for the first season include: “I’m A Porn Star” with Special Guest Tre Xavier, Polyamorous Relationships, Coming out Of the Closet and Spirituality vs. Sexuality.

Nicholas Garnett – A native of Baltimore Maryland, Nicholas is an idealistic activist on issues of equality in addition to being an outspoken advocate for Gay Rights. Nicholas is also a student whose focus of study is towards Psychology and Sociology. While Nicholas may hotly debate Shawn and Brandon on points and issues, its all part of Nicholas, Shawn, and Brandon's subversive mission to re-educate society about how to argue in a civilized manner.

AL THOMPSON COMES TO ANACOSTIA

Actor, Producer, and Director Al Thompson to Guest Star on ANACOSTIA
Filming for the third season has yet to begin, but sources close to the production say that Al Thompson will portray the role of Ray Shelton, “a severely controlling salesman” who has moved into the neighborhood with his new wife Madison. Viewers will be on the edge of their seats when loud noises start emerging from the Shelton home and Madison Shelton
Though this makes the first guest appearance for Al Thompson on ANACOSTIA, Thompson is no stranger to the world of Web Series. Most recently, Thompson launched the award-winning comedy series Johnny B. Homeless, which received rave reviews at the New York Television Festival, winning the “People’s Choice Award.”
This year, Thompson, under his production company ValDean Entertainment, will be rolling out a slate of Web series that are already garnering big buzz in the industry. This includes the premiere of Lenox Avenue, a compelling drama that follows three friends navigating through the rough terrain of love and relationships while living in Harlem , New York
