Actor, Producer, and Director Al Thompson to Guest Star on ANACOSTIA
Filming for the third season has yet to begin, but sources close to the production say that Al Thompson will portray the role of Ray Shelton, “a severely controlling salesman” who has moved into the neighborhood with his new wife Madison. Viewers will be on the edge of their seats when loud noises start emerging from the Shelton home and Madison is seen with “mysterious bruises.” What secret is lurking behind the door of the Shelton household? Inquiring minds and ANACOSTIA fans will want to know.
Though this makes the first guest appearance for Al Thompson on ANACOSTIA, Thompson is no stranger to the world of Web Series. Most recently, Thompson launched the award-winning comedy series Johnny B. Homeless, which received rave reviews at the New York Television Festival, winning the “People’s Choice Award.”
This year, Thompson, under his production company ValDean Entertainment, will be rolling out a slate of Web series that are already garnering big buzz in the industry. This includes the premiere of Lenox Avenue, a compelling drama that follows three friends navigating through the rough terrain of love and relationships while living in Harlem , New York . Lenox Avenue stars Jamie Hector (The Wire) and Michael K. Williams (Boardwalk Empire, The Wire), and Victor Williams (The King of Queens). Both Johnny B. Homeless and Lenox Avenue have been featured in major publications such as Wall Street Journal, Fast Company and Variety.
